By: Justin Louis The Chicago Cubs & The Cleveland Indians have been regarded as the Cinderella teams all throughout the year. Both teams are locked in a stalemate, as the series are tied 3-3 with Game 7 determining the end of one’s franchise drought. “FALL CLASSIC” is another word to call the World Series. The World Series is the annual championship series of the MLB, consisting of two teams from the American League and National League. This year the two teams playing are the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians. Both teams are looking to end their drought and seek to win their next championship. On the contrary many people are split about who they believe will win. The Cubs haven’t been to the World Series since 1945! A lot has happened since then. The last time the Cubs won it all was back in 1908, over 100 years ago. Throughout the regular season, Chicago had the best record (103 - 58), as they have been picked as the “favorite” to win it all this year. It’s been a long time coming for the Cubs, and Mr. Ayala is still debating who will win. “I would love to see the Cubs win. 108 years is long enough, and I think if they were playing anybody but the Indians, everybody in America would be rooting for the Cubs." On the other hand The Cleveland Indians are back in the World Series for the 1st time since 1997. 1948 was the last time the Indians won it all. Their record stands at (94-67) as they won AL Central division. The city of Cleveland has been rejuvenated, and craves another championship. Cleveland looks to become the 1st team since 1988 to win both the NBA Championship and the World Series. 60% CUBS WIN 35% INDIANS WIN
