Freshman, Autumn Bartush ('22), made and is now starting for the girls varsity field hockey team and has made an immediate impact.

This past week, she scored a goal in each game against Trumbull and Greenwich. This team, despite losing 7 seniors last year, has jumped from 3 wins to 8 making states.

When asked how her performance is affecting the team, Bartush said, “I feel like a bunch of us girls can be called the “core” of the team.  We’ve been picking up our performances recently and it’s driven us to win.”

The team is filled with lots of young talent and should be very strong for years to come.

One of Barush’s fellow teammates, Brooke Thill (‘21), was asked the following question
“Compared to last year how do you think the team has improved with the addition of Autumn?”
Thill Says, “Ever since she [Bartush] has joined the team, her positive spirit and skills have made us score more goals and play better as a team”

Bartush has made a positive contribution to the team and has many more years to improve the program.
