The holidays are right around the corner, and shopping can be a little difficult when everything is last minute. It’s hard when you want to find the perfect gift for your perfect friend. But it doesn’t have to be. The size of the gift doesn’t matter, or the cost of it either. What really matters is getting them a subscription to Hulu, or that choker they wanted two christmas’ ago. If you’re running out of ideas for gifts, here’s a list of affordable things.

  1. Fuzzy Socks: $7.95
Do you have a friend that’s always cold and always taking your socks when they visit? Do they always complain about the cold indoors even though the heat is always on? This does not have to be an issue anymore. Amazon has affordable socks in many different colors and guess what? Sizes too! You can even put these in their stockings.

According to Michelle Menard (‘19,) she thinks that "fuzzy socks are a wonderful gift because they’re warm.”

2. Scrunchies: $15.59
Scrunchies are a necessary accessory when your mane is interrupting the hustle. Get your bestie a 36 pack so she never has to worry when she’s on the treadmill.

If you’re having any doubts about this gift and you’re afraid to hit checkout on etsy, put those doubts to rest. According to Linda Garcia (‘19) “scrunchies are good gifts for your best friends stockings.”

3. Slouchy Hats: $16.00
A good friend wouldn’t let their friends ears get cold or red during the winter, so why would you?

Hats are a must when temperatures drop down to the negatives. The plus side is they’re super trendy and super cute.

A hat is something everyone loves. Take Mullen, art teacher, for instance. He’s one radical dude, and that man has taste for the latest fashion trends. Mullen says,“That’s a great gift.”

4. Baseball Hat: $19.99
A baseball hat is a greasy head’s best companion. Get them a rockin’ cap (which comes in 21 colors), and some conditioner.

“If the person be wearing baseball hats on the regular then I would say they are a good gift”, from an anonymous student at McMahon

5. Choker $8.60
Chokers are an easy strategy to making an outfit turn heads. The grey shirt you’re wearing doesn’t have to be boring anymore. You’d be surprised how this minimalistic jewelry can better your style.

According to Rebekah Duffey (‘20), “they’re great gifts for your friends if they like them."

6. Gift Bag
The true meaning behind giving presents on Christmas is to show you care for that person. One way to do that is by giving them something that really represents all your history together and the future to come.

Caliyah Clark (‘20) says, “I think it’s a really good gift because all the memories we  have and all the time we spent together shows how much love there is.”
