Fancia St. Preuve
One of the star players in this year’s Powder Puff game was junior Jennifer Bouzy. Jennifer is also a high honors student with a 4.0 GPA.
There is one class that Jennifer struggles with however; Honors Anatomy. The class consists of weekly quizzes that really stress Jennifer out.
During midterm week, Jennifer’s mom bought her two packages of stress relief lotion.
“I feel like it should be an AP class rather than honors because of all the things we do.” She said.
Jennifer took the class after being inspired by Grey’s Anatomy, a popular TV show. Jennifer wants to a pursue a career in the dental field, so she thought it would be good to take a class that deals with the body and how it works.
Jennifer usually doesn’t know how to deal with the stress but when it comes down to it she often reminds herself, “this assignment needs to get done or you’ll fail.”
Receiving poor grades is not just not Jennifer’s way of doing things. She will push herself until she gets the grade she feels she deserves. Jennifer hates getting bad grades because she knows she is capable of doing better.
“I know my hard work will pay off in the future” Jennifer says.
Most of her friends will call her an overachiever but Jennifer doesn’t necessarily agree. She claims that she doesn’t do anything “extra.”
“I don’t believe in taking L’s, as my generation calls it.”
