Will McMahon ever go on a win streak again? Can they win at least half of their games? Two weeks ago, the Senators got their first win of the season against the Stamford Black Knights with a score of 27-12. It was a very impressive win for the senators who are considered to be underdogs for the FCIACS.
The Senators will face the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers next for their homecoming on Friday, October 19, 2018. It will be the biggest game they play yet, even though the Senators have one more win over the Hilltoppers, it will be a dogfight.
The Hilltoppers will hope their offensive can put some points on the board because in every game they have played so far, they have struggled to score over two touchdowns.
The Senators have been rolling on the scoreboard with scoring over 20 points in their last two games, but the senators' defense is the key to the team. They held Stamford to 12 points and they get stops which puts the senators in a better position in winning, but their offense has to follow through and put some points on the board.
On the opposing side, the Hilltoppers need a lot of help on the defense side of the ball. They have given up 35 or more points per game and have yet to win a game this year, however, last season they did beat McMahon giving them the upper hand.
Captain, Michael Macari, said, “I feel like we have a very good chance to beat Central, they can't hang with us.” It seems like the Senators feel like the Hilltoppers have no chance of winning this year.
Shamar Miller ('20), one of the running backs for the senators says, “Overall the score at the end of the night will come out to be 38-14 and we will win. The Hilltoppers will not be able to stop our run game and they will not be able to move the ball on us.”
